New! Hawk's Nest Playground in Raymore

Hawk's Nest Playground at Hawk Ridge Park

By Christina Almaguer May 19, 2023

I'm a Mom of a 4 year and and 2 year old. Today, like many mornings with kids, didn't go as planned. We missed our swim lessons. We needed to get over the disappointment we were all feeling so I decided it was a great day to check out the new playground in Raymore. This playground does NOT disappoint! It's new and beautiful and well thought out for the kids and the caregivers who come to enjoy this playground. It's an inclusive playground so there are ramps that go all around to make it easy for everyone to access the slides and playground area and equipment. It also nicely surrounds the playground so a roaming toddler can't just get out to the parking without several obstacles. I felt comfortable, even though both of my kids were running in different directions, that they wouldn't be able to get out of the playground area without me seeing first and having plenty of time to react.

There is a building with bathrooms, covered picnic tables, trash cans, and grill right by the playground. The nearby pond allows fishing.

There's so much to play on, climb, slide, swing, explore, and play that even with going here frequently it will continue to be exciting and entertaining for both of my kids. Also, it's a place I can take them and not feel like I need to hover over them to keep them from getting hurt or too far out of my sight.  Definitely come enjoy this wonderful new park!
